Spring 2007

Alicia sure has grown. This spring it was as if someone turned on a light switch when her language suddenly came pouring out. It was amazing because it seemed like one day she was still using 3 word phrases to communicate, then the next day she was using 5 to 6 word sentences. It is truly wonderful that she can fully communicate and how much she really understands. The daycare (Spanish Immersion) one day asked me if she spoke English because they are amazed at how good her Spanish is. For her age not only does she have very good language in English but also Spanish.

In late April she moved to a new classroom at Daycare. She is at Montessori School and they have 2 classrooms. One for the baby to 3 year olds, and the 3-5 year olds. Even though she isn't yet 3 years old, they felt she was ready to move and would benefit from the second classroom. She has to bring her lunch because they rent space from a church and don't have access to the kitchen. We went to Target and bought her a lunchbox. She was so proud to have a lunchbox because now she is like mommy who also brings her lunch to work everyday.

For Easter we spent the weekend in Madison with my sister Beth and family. It was a fun weekend with cousins, Grandma Nae and Grandpa Ehlen. Unfortunately I forgot her tights at home for church so we had to use her white bobby socks. She got to meet her cousin Emily and Aunt Pam for the first time (of course uncle Tom was there too, but she already knew him from last summer). Recently her cousins from Albuquerque were up for a visit and we all had a great time (Greg's sister and family). Enjoy the photos.
The above photo is one of all the cousins on Daddy's side of the family.
