Spring 2009

Each year at school they have done a Mother's Day show. Each child had a part to say. I helped Alicia memorize her lines (in Spanish which wasn't easy for me). All the kids did a great job. Alicia was the last one to speak and was on the far right in a long line of kids at the front. After that they danced to some music.



June 12 marked the end of the school year and for the first time, they did a play. Alicia played the blue fairy in Pinocchio. It was so much fun watching all the kids in their costumes, even though I couldn't understand any of what was said. Many other parents complimented Alicia on her Spanish and thought she did an excellent job.













This is Miss Carol, it was her last day. She got married and moved to far away to drive. She was very well liked and will be missed a lot!



We spent a weekend in Madison at my sister's place recently. My parents and other sister were there with her kids. My oldest brother also was there on Sunday before we had to leave. Alicia had so much fun with her cousins and all the neighborhood kids that she didn't even stop for lunch on Saturday! (Ok I'll admit she had popcorn at a movie we went to that morning so that attributed to her not being hungry.) She played all afternoon until dinner. Then she was hungry and ate a good dinner. Right after that is was back outside until bedtime.
