Summer 2008

On June 20, Alicia finished another year at Oak Park Montessori School /Spanish Immersion daycare.

Here is how we found Alicia sleeping as we headed to bed one night. She was supposed to be sleeping in her own bed. She had put on a pair of mom's pants and slept on Dad's side of the bed.

On Saturday, June 28 Catherine and family arrived from Albuquerque, NM to spend the week in Illinois. Allison and Geoff playing Guitar Hero on the Wii.



This picture was taken on Sunday at dinner. Alicia was so tired this is how she fell asleep. When I went to pick her up, she had food in her mouth! Notice her feet are on the chair rung.

On Monday June, 30 Greg and I took the day off. Some of us took a tour of Wrigley Field that morning. Here is Fukudome's locker. The room was roped off, but we did get to walk in a little.

During the afternoon, we went to North Avenue Beach on Lake Michigan. It is only about a mile from Geoff and Eileen's house so we walked over there for some fun.



Getting wet. After this point Alicia was held, but she sure enjoyed getting wet. By the time she came out of the water, her lips were blue but she didn't seem to mind because she had so much fun.


Here is a water playground only 2 blocks from our house. Only kids 10 and younger are allowed to play. They even have access to turning the switches that controls the force of the water. They sure had fun exploring. In this picture are Alicia and Mark.

Greg has been playing oboe for about 2 years now. Alicia decided she needed to practice with him.
