What a long day! The flight was about twelve and a half hours. The plane was very warm when we boarded and took about an hour for it to cool off. We watched some movies, walked around the plane, had 2 meals and a large type snack. The flight path was straight north out of Chicago, up towards Green Bay, over the western side of Hudson Bay, almost over the north pole (the map looked like we were just a few miles off from it), down over the heart of Siberia and into Beijing. We landed and got through customs without any problems. I hope you are all able to view this page well enough, for some reason I can post to it, but can't access the actual webpage from here. We exchanged some money at the hotel and went to the grocery store for water. Then we had some sweet and sour chicken at the hotel restaurant for dinner.
Tomorrow we will do some touring, maybe the great wall and not sure what else. Many of the people in the hotel here speak English, which of course is helpful. That's all for today. Good night.~Judy

I have chills just looking at you on the plane. I stared at that same map over and over again on our trip and I know what an incredible journey you have ahead of you.
Enjoy every minute!
All our best,
