Medical Exam day

The day started out with our travel group going on a tour of Yuntai Garden and the Chen Family Academy. The Garden was very beautiful, there were decorations up in celebration of the moon festival. We found out the moon festival is celebrated because just like the moon is round, we have a family circle. This is a time when people get together with family and friends. Anyway, the garden was beautiful. The Chen Family Academy was some different pieces of art work, very interesting. We came back to the hotel and we were on our own for lunch. We went to a place called "Lucy's Bar and Grill". It has American food... ah just up my alley. The Chinese food here hasn't been sitting in my stomach quite right, but nothing to bad. I prefer not to have a knot in my stomach for a day so when given the choice, I will pick some American food. I had spaghetti and I can't remember what Greg had (he is out for his foot massage with the guys tonight). After lunch Greg walked back to the hotel with Alicia for her nap while I went shopping. I found a few things then came to the room to drop them off and head out again. I ran into some other ladies from our travel group and they showed me the place to get good bargains and help me haggle a good price. Then at 3 PM all the babies in our group had to go for their medical exam. It is part of the requirements for the adoption. Alicia was 18 pounds and 28 and a half inches long. She tolerated it pretty well which surprised us. From there, the 3 of us went shopping some more. For dinner, a bunch went to a place called "The Golden Bowl",a Vietnamese place, but since my stomach has only been tolerating American food while in China so Alicia and I went with some others to Lucy's again. This time I had a cheeseburger. After that, we came back to the room just before Greg left for his foot massage. Alicia went to bed shortly after that. ~Judy
